CARE & MAINTENANCE

Care for Your Bat. Protect Your Investment.

Chandler bats are built for performance. Proper use and storage will help maintain durability, feel, and longevity.

  • Use regulation leather baseballs only.
  • Avoid repeated mishits outside the barrel.
  • Inspect regularly for cracks or structural damage.

Stop using the bat if visible cracking appears.

  • Store in a cool, dry environment.
  • Avoid leaving your bat in a car, garage, or exposed to heat.
  • Keep away from moisture and standing water.
  • Avoid rapid temperature changes.

Extreme heat or moisture weakens wood fibers and reduces durability.

Do:

  • Store in stable conditions.
  • Use only for baseball.
  • Monitor for damange.

Avoid:

  • Striking hard surfaces.
  • Slamming or throwing the bat.
  • Altering or sanding the handle.

HITTING GUIDELINES

Where You Hit Matters.

Chandler bats are engineered to perform when impact occurs in a specific zone. Repeated contact outside that zone increases stress and may lead to premature failure.

The green barrel area is the only approved contact zone.

  • The Chandler logo must face up or down.
  • Contact must occur in the green area only.
  • Hit between the logo and within 1" of the end of the barrel.
  • Impact must be 90° to either the left or right side of the logo.

Repeated contact outside the green zone increases stress and may void warranty coverage.

  • Use regulation leather baseballs only
  • Do not hit cage-style dimpled balls.

Dimpled balls create abnormal stress and increase breakage risk.

The following actions are considered misuse:

  • Hitting outside the green barrel area
  • Striking metal, concrete, fencing, or other hard surfaces
  • Knocking dirt from cleats with your bat
  • Modifying, sanding, shaving, or altering the handle
  • Throwing your bat
  • Continuing use after visible cracking appears

Hit in the Green Area Only:

Always make contact between the Chandler logo and within 1 inch of the end of the barrel. Hits outside this zone (red area) can damage the bat and void the 60-day guarantee.

Logo Orientation Matters:

At impact, the Chandler logo must face up or down, ensuring the bat contacts the ball on the strongest part of the barrel.

Proper Contact Angle:

Always strike the ball 90° to either the left or right side of the logo, staying within the green hitting area for optimal performance and durability.

FAQS

Common Questions About Coverage & Care.

We’re here to help. Here are answers to the most common questions about caring for your bat, understanding your coverage, and submitting a warranty claim.

Warranty coverage begins on the original purchase date. Proof of purchase may be required to validate eligibility. Coverage duration varies by product category (6-month, 4-month, or 2-month terms).

All claims are evaluated based on:

  • Warranty duration eligibility
  • Impact location and usage patterns
  • Signs of misuse or modification
  • Environmental exposure or storage conditions
  • Bats showing evidence of misuse, impact outside the approved barrel zone, or modification will not qualify for replacement.

Misuse includes, but is not limited to:

  • Repeated impact outside the green barrel area
  • Use with cage-style dimpled balls
  • Striking hard surfaces (metal, concrete, fencing)
  • Altering, sanding, shaving, or modifying the bat
  • Throwing or intentionally damaging the bat
  • Environmental exposure (excessive heat, moisture, weather)

Repeated impact outside the approved green barrel area increases structural stress and may void warranty coverage. Each claim is reviewed individually to determine eligibility.

Chandler bats are engineered so that the strongest grain orientation aligns with the logo position. Hitting with the logo facing up or down ensures impact occurs along the strongest structural plane of the wood.

Dimpled balls create abnormal friction and stress patterns that differ from regulation leather baseballs. This increases the likelihood of premature failure and is not considered normal game use.

Visible cracking is a sign of structural compromise. Continued use after cracking increases risk of full failure and may affect claim eligibility. Discontinue use and review warranty coverage before continuing.

Minor grip adjustments (such as tape) are acceptable. However, sanding, shaving, reshaping, or altering the structure of the bat may void warranty coverage.

Claim review timelines vary based on volume and documentation completeness. Submitting clear photos and accurate purchase information helps expedite evaluation.

Warranty coverage applies to the original purchaser only and is not transferable.
