Chandler bats are hand-crafted from wood that comes from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified forests.  These forests operate on set standards ensuring that wood harvesting for Chandler bats is environmentally responsible and respects the natural eco-system of the forest.  The indigenous wildlife and people in the forests are not displaced or harmed, which is usually the case with traditional forestry practices.  Instead of clear cutting and polluting, the tress removed for Chandler bats are individually selected, and then replaced naturally or replanted.  This renewable process helps the long-term life of the forest while reducing carbon emissions.

Rx Sport, maker of the Chandler Bat, strives to be an environmentally responsible company that respects the natural eco-system of the forest.  All harvesting of the wood needed for the production of our baseball bats is governed by the standards and practices set forth by the Forest Stewardship Council.  One such practice, known as Select Cutting, ensures that only the trees that are suitable for baseball bat production are taken from the forest.  Rx Sport’s insistence that no clear-cutting is done during our harvests, as well as active management program of replanting, allows the forest to remain healthy and viable for future generations.

The boxes used to ship your Chandler orders are also manufactured from raw materials that come from SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) certified sources. This certification ensures that these sources are actively managing water quality and wildlife habitats when removing the raw materials from their forests. When creating these boxes, our manufacturer uses 46% recycled materials and approximately 69% of their energy for manufacturing come from renewable sources, reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
